New Aston Martin Watch Pays Tribute To The Greats

The inspiration for this watch comes from the historical color schemes nations used to represent themselves in motorsport: French cars have traditionally been blue, Italian cars red, German cars silver, and British cars green. Aston Martin adopted green as its racing colour with the Aston Martin DBR1 that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1959. The watch itself features this “Aston Martin Green” throughout, and features seven distinct levels of paint, motorsport-inspired cross-hatching, and diamond-pattern designs taken from Aston’s AM logo from the early 1920s.The seconds hand resembles the side strakes of the 1958 Aston Martin DB4. The watch includes three counters, two chronograph registers and a small seconds display which is all covered by an octagonal bezel that pays tribute to the iconic Laureato watch of 1975. The back features an open caseback covered by a pane of sapphire crystal, and the automatic movement is based on the highly regarded Calibre GP03300. It is all housed in a 42mm 904L stainless steel case with a 904L stainless steel bracelet with a satin-brushed finish effect.
