Aston Martin Shuts Down All UK Production

The move is in-line with the UK Government’s instructions on COVID-19. This suspension will go into effect at all sites simultaneously, starting after March 24, 2020. Aston Martin says the decision to close its factories was difficult but necessary to ensure the health and safety of its workforce, its suppliers, and their families. The suspension is currently planned until Monday, April 20, 2020, but Aston says it will continue to review the situation and will resume operations as soon as it is reasonable to do so.”It is our responsibility to ensure we do all we can to support the Government’s efforts in slowing the spread of COVID-19 over the coming weeks and, with the health of our amazing workforce front and center of our minds, we have taken the tough decision to temporarily suspend operations at our sites around the UK,” Aston Martin Lagonda President and Group CEO, Dr Andy Palmer said.
